Chief Rogers began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Smithfield Police Department. Since that time, he has served in various capacities and promoting through the ranks to Deputy Chief of Police. Chief Rogers holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with Specialization in Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, both from Liberty University. He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy representing the 255th session. Chief Rogers is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, camping. He is also passionate about baseball and serves as little league coach. If he is not in the woods or on the baseball field, he can be found at the beach spending quality time with family and friends.
