REGULATION: ESTABLISHES A NONRESIDENT HARVESTERS LICENSE FEE

VIRGINIA MARINE RESOURCES COMMISSION
"PERTAINING TO NONRESIDENT HARVESTERS LICENSE FEE"
CHAPTER 4VAC20-730-10 ET SEQ.

PREAMBLE

This regulation establishes a nonresident harvesters license fee for any nonresident desiring to take or catch fish, crabs, or any other seafood, except oysters, clams, or other mollusks, from the tidal waters of the Commonwealth, for which a license is required.

This regulation is promulgated pursuant to authority contained in §28.2-227 of the Code of Virginia. This regulation amends and readopts previous Regulation 4 VAC 20-730-10 et seq. that was adopted on March 28, 1995 and was effective on April 12, 1995. The effective date of this regulation is December 1, 2005.

4 VAC 20-730-10. PURPOSE.

The purpose of this regulation is to establish the fee for the Nonresident Harvesters License.

4 VAC 20-730-20. REPEALED.

4 VAC 20-730-30. EXCEPTIONS.

The Nonresident Harvesters License shall not be required for persons licensed to fish with saltwater recreational licenses required under §§28.2-302.1 and 28.2-302.9 of the Code of Virginia.

4 VAC 20-730-40. PENALTY.

Penalties for violations of the non-resident license requirement are prescribed in §§28.2-225 and 28.2-227E of the Code of Virginia.
