Virginia Watermen's Internship Program - 2027 Application Period
The application period for the 2027 Virginia Watermen's Internship Program will be open November 1 through November 30, 2026. To be considered, applicants must submit both a completed New Applicant Form and a Mentor Form. Each intern may identify up to two mentors, and each mentor may sponsor up to two interns.
All application materials must be submitted together and received no later than November 30, 2026. Applications may be submitted by mail or by email to commissioner@mrc.virginia.gov.
Selected applicants will be notified no later than January 2027 and will receive instructions regarding the next steps in the program. Newly accepted interns and their mentors will meet with program staff in January to review program requirements, expectations, and guidelines. Educational Permits will be issued at that time.
