The Commissioner’s Waterman’s Apprentice Program’s application process is now open for the 2026 Calander Year, from Nov 1 – Nov 30, 2025. Applicants must submit a fully complete new applicant form along with a new mentor form to be considered. Application results will be sent out via mail by end of December. An initial meeting with program staff will take place in January with the new apprentice and mentor to go over expectations and guidelines for the program, with Educational Permits to be issued during February.
