Jones Creek Landing

Background:

This two phase project was completed in 2001 and received $100,298 in VSRFDF grant funds. The facility has two landing ramps and a floating dock. The facility also has handicapped accessible restrooms and fishing pier. There is no fee to use the facility. Isle of Wight no longer purchases the blanket pier license, so each individual needs to purchase their own saltwater license to fish. If you are exempt from a saltwater fishing license, such as for age 65 and over, please register with the FIP. Anglers using the Jones Creek facility often catch spot, croaker, white perch, flounder and rockfish.

Directions:

This facility provides quick access to Jones Creek, the Pagan River, and the middle and lower James River.
